Wendy Nickel, MPH
Wendy Nickel is a healthcare leader with deep experience building programs that improve outcomes and advance health equity. Over her career, she has worked across hospitals, patient advocacy organizations, and policy settings to advocate for patients, improve the clinician work environment and tackle complex systems challenges.She brings a calm-in-chaos leadership style, a strong commitment to social justice, and a track record of turning ideas into effective, scalable programs.
At Equitas Health Strategies, Wendy partners with health systems, community based organizations, payors, clinicians and patients to design evidence-based, equity-focused solutions that are practical, sustainable, and grounded in real-world experience. Wendy has held leadership positions in public health, patient advocacy, and medical specialty organizations. She currently serves as a public member of the American Board of Medical Specialties and has won numerous awards for her work in public health.
